Convex Roof-The Finest Roof System in the Self Storage Industry Today | All ANDERSON BUILDING COMPANY Self Storage Buildings with 1/2 on 12 double slope roofs come standard with a convex roof system. This design has many advantages over traditional metal building roof systems. The main advantage is efficiency. The convex roof eliminates the costly ridge that runs down the center of traditional metal buildings. A ridge not only costs more, but it also takes longer to erect and is more vulnerable to roof leaks.
| The convex design is also superior to traditional metal roof systems in function. The convex roof averages a 1/2 on 12 pitch. The center of the building, where the roof will be subjected to the least amount of water and elements, is closer to a 1/4 on 12 pitch. At the eave, where the majority of water and elements will be, the roof approaches a 1 on 12 pitch. The result is a dramatic decrease in capillary action and removes the chance for expensive leaks. Of course, if you are looking for a traditional metal building roofing system or an increased roof pitch, we will be happy to accommodate you.

| | | Standing Seam | | Standing Seam Sample Specs
 | As an option to our convex roof, we offer a standing seam roof system. Our standing seam roof is a commercial quality, snap-together system with either 26 or 24 gauge panels. Other building companies use a standing seam panel that only has a 1 3/4" major rib. Our panel features a 3" major rib with factory-applied sealant. The result is a much higher quality finished product with the long life expectancy and maintenance-free features you are looking for. If you would like to have an option for standing seam added to your quote, just ask one of our sales representatives.
